CHARITY AUCTION!

As with all my charity auctions pieces, this will be one of a kind and I won’t be replicating it exactly. There will probably be other things along this line but this will be the only one of this particular piece!

This was inspired by the amazing opening credits designed by Peter Anderson Studio for Good Omens 2! Specifically the moment where Aziraphale and Crowley spin (dance?) together in space.

DETAILS: This sculpture/thingamajig is custom designed and entirely handmade by me from wood, acrylic and epoxy clay. Turn the handle to make our favorite angel and demon spin!

Item dimensions are about 9” tall and 4” wide. You can see my process video on my Instagram under Ineffablepenguin!

100% of the proceeds from this auction will go to the Transgender Law Center, a charity that is (among other things) fighting against the recent avalanche of laws targeting trans rights in the USA 🌈

[This is an unofficial fanwork and I am in no way affiliated with either Neil Gaiman or anyone involved with the show]

Well, hello. I usually paint portraits in oil. But now that I’ve got a tablet and PS, they open up the opportunity for artistic exploration that would normally take a long time via traditional methods. I don’t have to wait 2 days for a layer to dry for a start… so that’s encouraging.

Anyways, I like Good Omens. It also happens to be the perfect context to examine different art styles from Renaissance to Victorian times. I started this little historical Good Omens art series last month. Let’s begin with Golgotha Aziraphale and Crowley as Rembrandt style oil portraits :)

‘But thy eternal summer shall not fade.’

This Crowley is very much inspired by Shakespeare’s 'fair youth’. 🖤

Good Omens season 1 marketing: ooooh look it’s hellfire and damnation and the apocalypse, oooh look at the good/evil dichotomy between these two, look at the DRAMA of it all

A Good Omens season 1 marketing poster. It shows Crowley and Aziraphale sitting on top of a very small sized planet Earth. Aziraphale is holding a teacup and Crowley has his sunglasses on and is scowling. A tree grows in between them and acts as a sort of divide. On the tree there is a black snake about to eat an apple. Crowley's side of planet earth is covered in flames and the four horsemen are standing on it. Aziraphale's side is lush and full of vegetation and features Anathema, Adam and his friends.ALT
A Good Omens season 1 marketing poster featuring Crowley and Aziraphale standing in the middle of apocalyptic London. They are sharing an umbrella and its stick acts as a divider between the two of them. It's raining fish, the kraken is looming over the buildings and a UFO hovers in the distance. The sky is blue on Aziraphale's side and red on Crowley's.ALT
A good omens season 1 marketing poster featuring Crowley's bentley in the midle of an electric storm. The sky has both blue and red hues and the lightning spells "The End Is Nigh".ALT
A Good Omens season 1 marketing poster featuring Crowley and Aziraphale watching over a small-sized planet Earth. Aziraphale has a benevolent expression while Crowley is scowling. The half directly under Azriaphale shines blue and features all the human characters. Crowley's half is flame-red and features the demons.ALT

Good Omens season 2 marketing: what if 🥺 they held hands 🥺 and kissed in the rain ☔ and they were roommates 👨🏻‍🤝‍👨🏼

A Good Omens season 2 marketing poster reminiscent of that of season 1 where both Crowley and Aziraphale were standing under the same umbrella. They are standing in the middle of the street at night, sandwiched between Aziraphale's bookshop and Crowley's bentley. This time, the rain is regular rain (not fish) and they also share an umbrella, but their backs are turned to us and Aziraphale's head is leaning towards Crowley’s shoulder. The umbrella's stick no longer divides them, as Crowley is standing right in the middle, making it look like he's metaphorically crossing over to Aziraphale's half.ALT
A Good Omens season 2 marketing poster featuring Azriaphale and Crowley in Aziraphale's bookshop. They are sitting side to side, behind a mountain of books and antiques, touching from shoulder to hip, and Aziraphale is perusing a book while Crowley looks in the opposite direction of the angel. They both look relaxed and content. Aziraphale has a cup of tea and Crowley a glass of wine. They are both bathed in golden light. The poster's caption reads "Every Day It's-a Getting Closer", a nod to Buddy Holly's song "Every day".ALT
A Good Omens season 2 marketing poster featuring Crowley and Aziraphale standing back to back in the center. They are smirking at each other in a manner reminiscent of many rom-com posters, with Aziraphale's hands in his pockets and Crowley's arms crossed over his chest. Their wings are visible, intertwined with each other and forming a heart.ALT
